耳がきゅっとなる
Ears are Dazzled, touched by soundhttp://vimeo.com/15319022

Inspired by research addressing the role of sound in everyday life and its applications for gaining a deeper understanding of human experience, the experimental documentary was made in collaboration with locals in Yamaguchi, Japan. Participants in the project agreed to keep sound diaries that included sounds which hold a special relevance in their daily lives. The images and sounds from the diaries were recorded collaboratively, creating a shared acoustemology; exploring the relationship between sounds and the imagination and the role that sound plays in shaping constructions of the everyday.

A poetic insight into the microcosmos of Manchester Central Library, Lifelibrary is an exploration of an essential public institution that has had little attention in anthropological debate or in the minds of most of its users.
